Hello! My name is Erika and I come from Italy. I was born and raised in the region Le Marche (Le Mar-ke) also known as the "home of shoes!" Specifically, I come from Porto Sant'Elpidio, a small town of about 25,000 people in the province of Fermo where every family produced shoes in their garage at home for over 80 years up until about 15 years ago. This production lasted until the unfortunate economic crisis that closed dozens and dozens of small factories. 
My parents have owned a small factory for 37 years named Erika d'Alessio (named after me and my brother). They produced women's shoes, ballerinas/flats, heels, wedges, boots, and more.

 

I have always been fortunate to be able to wear my favorite colored shoes.

The customization of even just the color of the heel, or leather, or the strap

would accent or highlight my favorite dress, pants, shirt, or bag for any occasion.
The "Made in Italy"  mark has always been in great demand by those who like

quality. Under appropriate working conditions, the shoes are entirely handmade

with genuine leather from the best Tuscan tanneries. Suede, leather, patent

leather, pony skin or sheepskin.. High heel, low heel, thick or thin, ballerina

or ankle boot...  luck be the lady spoiled with choices!!!

The biggest names in fashion (Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana. etc.) make shoes in my home country of Italy and our neighboring countries!!! For us, shoes are an art form. 
The idea for this website came from my boyfriend, Mauro, whose parents were also footwear artisans from Le Marche. Upon seeing my dozens of pairs of shoes, he asked me: "Do you know how many girls would like to be in your place? Pick a color for every occasion."
